LABOR DAY

Brothers and Sisters, this year, we are encouraging everyone to enjoy Labor Day at the PALF Picnic in Tucson.  If you are unable to attend the event, we hope you all enjoy a safe and happy Labor Day with your families and friends.  Take some time to remember those who have gone before us to fight for the blessings we enjoy as organized Labor.

ARBITRATION DECISION COMPLETE
July 21, 2010

Hello Brothers and Sisters. On July 13, we received the final decision of Arbitrator Michael Rappaport.  I reviewed the decision in detail at the Union meeting on Monday, July 19.  I don't believe that either side is entirely unhappy, or happy, with the decision, as the arbitrator did not adopt either side's proposed changes in their entireity, but made his own decision on how it would read.  On a more positive note, we did not have to take a wage cut.  We are currently proofreading the entire agreement and will be sending it off to Presdient Hill for his approval as soon as that is completed.  We will have copies of the new Agreement printed and available as soon as possible after it is approved.  As always, we are here for your questions and comments.  God Bless.
